E woke at 3:30 and again at 5:30, but then he slept until 8. EIGHT. In the MORNING. I was stunned.

The daycare people say that the full moon/time change combo is driving the babies crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Sneeze pee is one of the few reasons I would have preferred a cesarean. I’m not as bothered by the peeing as by the way in which my terrain is completely altered and doesn’t seem to be going back. Maybe I should get the smartballs. If they aren’t practical, maybe they’re fun….

PS: thanks for the nod! I hate to say it since y’all are suffering, but we somehow benefitted from DST. Well, sort of. In that Hank is now waking early enough (3 or 4 am instead of 4 or 5 am) that we can justify an elaborate “put back to bed” routine to try to get him to 6 or 7, rather than just giving up and getting up because there is no point in spending an hour to get one more hour of sleep afterward. So it means I’m up with him from, say 3:30-4:30 nursing and re-settling (yeah, it takes a whole hour), but then he “naps” until 6 or 7.

This worked Sunday and Monday, but not today, so who effing knows.

Kids fall over a lot. Keep your head now, because once he starts toddling about, the incidence will grow exponentially.

I’m not sure why you’re not supposed to sit while wearing a front carrier. I did. It wasn’t particularly comfortable, but the occasions were such that standing would have been worse. The Spawn slept it out either way.

Sneeze pee? Why don’t they tell us before we embark on the family way that we’ll never be able to laugh again without having tears running down our legs? I suggest you invest in a set of Smartballs (TM). The Fun Factory ones – Amazon is your friend.
