This is where I’d post the picture of the baby–who is, at this moment in time, PERFECTLY NORMAL–were I ready to do things like post pictures of my uterus and its contents. So for now you’ll have to make do with this artist’s rendering of the lovely fetus who is not so lovely as he is stubborn, uncooperative, and bad-mannered. Example: right as the tech is about to measure his nicely filled bladder, he pees. She tries to measure his face, he covers it with his hands. And let’s not forget the mush he made of my brain these past few weeks.
You know that test you’re supposed to do when you adopt a dog, where you roll it over on its back, hold it down, and watch how it reacts? It’s a test for submissiveness. If the dog is willing to accept you as its leader, it will just chill on its back all day. If it has alpha tendencies, it will snap and wiggle around and in general get pretty pissed off. Why do I get the feeling this fetus is doing the baby-equivalent of biting my finger?
But whatever. Way to grow all your body parts, you overactive little pisser.

Hehe, such a motherly reaction – “I can’t believe you made me worry, I AM SO ANGRY at you you little bugger!”.
Glad to hear everything’s growing.
Thanks. When I was a kid, I always used to wonder why my father yelled at me when I hurt myself (“WHAT did you DO?”). Turns out that’s the typical family reaction to uncontrollable fear and worry. :)
YAY! I’m glad to hear all is well.
