I said I wasn’t going to post photos because I’m all kinds of obsessed with anonymity. But since I love “weekly features” on other peoples’ blogs, I’m instituting “Photo Friday” as of today, with the difference being that I shall only talk about photos I find on the web.
Except for today. Today I’ll explain the header (because it shares content continuity with the “name” post).
The photo in my header is a picture of the Gutenberg Bible that I took at UT’s Ransom Center. Confession: you’re really not supposed to take a picture of the Gutenberg Bible, but I didn’t know that because I didn’t read the sign. And nobody’s standing there to stop you. And I’m kind of an idiot when it comes to document preservation. But the good news is that the flash was off, so I couldn’t have done any damage. If there was a possiblity I had done damage, I never would have told y’all that I took that picture, because I would have felt bad and I wouldn’t have wanted you to hate me for ruining a Very Important Book.
I used a picture from the bible because I was going with the religious theme, though in retrospect that might not have been an appropriate theme for me to use, even in the nature I’ve chosen to use it, because religion isn’t a part of this blog or of my work. Also, I like to curse.
